"I have a sofa at the end of my bed. Instead of having people there, I have you there Phil, every day, and you just brighten my world," she divulged. "And you are everything to making me feel happy with everything else that's going on."

The phone-in guest explained she also has a chronic pain condition which can leave her bed bound.

Schofield was clearly taken aback as he looked down and retorted: "I don’t know what to say. That’s really lovely."

Davina McCall, who was filling in for an absent Holly Willoughby, then asked the caller what it was she loved about Schofield.

"I love everything about him. I actually set my alarm for 10 to 10 so my iPad goes on ready to watch This Morning," Michelle responded before adding that the show acted as a comfort for her when her contact was limited in the strictest phases of lockdown.

"If it wasn’t for This Morning, I wouldn’t have got through it and you brighten my day."
