With New York Fashion Week coming to a close this year, Phoebe Gates is sharing a behind-the-scenes look at her chic week.

The Stanford University student, who is celebrating her 21st birthday on Thursday, highlighted a number of glamorous outfits she wore in an Instagram post shared on Wednesday, which she captioned “fashion week wrap up …❤️."

Two of the photos showed Phoebe in an elegant strapless brown dress with a center cutout, which she paired with gold jewelry and a slicked-back bun.

The post also featured a sweet shot of Phoebe letting her hair down while posing alongside her mother, Melinda French Gates.

This fall, Phoebe is launching a digital fashion platform with Sophia Kianni called Phia, which is described on its website as being “the future of fashion.”

Phoebe previously told The Information that she and Kianni, her roomate at Stanford, were “building out an idea to help make fashion more sustainable.”

Before the launch, the two women joined forces with fashion designer Stella McCartney to design a limited-edition capsule bag collection honoring the Women’s Tennis Association, according to Vogue.

“Both of our backgrounds, all of it has been about bringing people from grass-roots activism to philanthropy together,” Kianni, who is also a climate activist, told the outlet late last month. “That’s very much the same spirit we want to honor as we enter the fashion space. We want to identify everyone who is doing incredible things, learn from them, and see how we can accelerate progress together.”

In her interview with The Information, Phoebe said her use of platforms like TikTok has been a great way to “tell my own story.”

"People have a lot of preconceptions about me,” she said. "So TikTok has been a chance for me to tell my own story and also use the attention my family name might bring to spotlight issues that are important to me, like women's health and sustainable fashion.”
