TYLER, Texas (KETK) – The 2024 Red Dirt BBQ and Music Festival was held in Tyler on Saturday and many locals turned out to hear some good music and to eat some good barbecue.

Daniel Mendez from Kilgore was one of the hundreds of people to travel to Tyler to enjoy the day. He loves going to the festival every year, and this year he planned to make it special for his girlfriend, Amanda.

“The beautiful barbecue. Honestly, like there’s so much barbecue and Casey Donahew. I’m also going to propose to Amanda tonight during a meet and greet at Randy Rogers,” said Mendez.

The festival was headlined by the Randy Rogers Band and featured performances from Pony Bradshaw, Treaty Oak Revival, Mark Chesnutt, Kolby Cooper and Casey Donahew.
