Time-Warp Town - China’s Last Remaining Maoist Village

The small town of Nanjie in China has no advertising, is decorated with images of communist leaders, has walls plastered in Maoist propaganda and is constantly serenaded with political songs and messages over tinny loudspeakers. It is known as China’s last remaining Maoist village - and visiting is like stepping into a time capsule. Australian photographer Tim Fenby travelled to Nanjie to explore the extraordinary town, capturing the look and the feel of the untouched structures.
