Brad Kella has revealed the name of his newborn daughter.

The 22 year-old Scouser from Fazakerley appeared in the second series of the Channel 4 show, which was broadcast last month. In the episode set in Liverpool Lime Street Station, Brad shared his moving story of how he used to roam the streets “causing mayhem” before he and his twin brother Aron were taken in by foster parents Ev and Frank.

Ev and Frank were pivotal in the start of an unlikely musical career, with Ev making up the difference with his care budget to buy a piano. Brad described getting the piano as a “life-changing moment” for him.

Brad also spoke of his love for his partner Abbie Lewis and their daughter Phoebe. Brad made it to the final of the show and won the performance of the night by judges Lang Lang and Mika.

His original piece, dedicated to his foster parents, had the audience in tears. A message after the show revealed Abbie was expecting their second child.

When he appeared on This Morning last month, Brad said he and Abbie were debating baby names. He explained that he was keen on Melody but Abbie wanted Alba.

Speaking to hosts Ben Shepard and Cat Deeley on the ITV show, he said: "So Abbie has got three weeks left. I can't wait. What a time for her to come. We are still sceptical about the name because I want to call her Melody but Abbie likes Alba but let's see who wins that one."

Now, in an update shared on his Instagram page, Brad shared two adorable pictures of his newborn daughter. The couple have named her Melody Sarah Kellaher.

In the post, which showed Melody and Brad together, he said: “My next princess is here, the best Melody I’ve been a part of creating.

“I'm going to love you unconditionally, you’re going to have such an amazing life and I can’t wait to share this adventure of life with you. “4/7/24, 7.9 Pounds. “Thank you everyone for the love and support.”

Hundreds of fans passed on their congratulations to Brad and his family. Sue Hugh said: “Congratulations Brad and Abbie and big sister Phoebe. What a beautiful photo of your beautiful girls.. They both have such lovely names too. Treasure every minute.”

Sarah Hulbert said: “Congratulations on the arrival of Melody Sarah! May you all make happy music together (although I think that is pretty much guaranteed!)”

Some noticed the musical connection with the name. Maggie Walker said: “Will we hear your next composition called ‘Melody’ again? Many congratulations on the birth of Melody Sarah. Your baby girls are beautiful.”
