Furious commuters faced rush-hour chaos after a faulty train caused a major Tube line to grind to a halt.

Severe delays were reported across the entire Piccadilly line on Monday evening due to the faulty train at Manor House.

There was no service between Arnos Grove and Kings Cross while engineers worked to fix the train.

Angry commuters took to social media to vent their frustration as they tried to make their way home while pictures emerged of crowds gathered outside busy stations.

One Twitter user said: "Fix up. a journey that’s supposed to take 30mins has taken over an hour today."
