The day kicked off with a parade, which left the town's Tenbury Road car park at midday and marched through the town centre to the beat of drums, heading to Bromyard's St Peter's Church.

The parade was joined at the church by representatives and officials from various organisations, including Herefordshire's various mayors, and the Lord Lieutenant of Herefordshire, Edward Harley, with a special service offering a moment of reflection and gratitude for the sacrifices made by military personnel.

The parade then made its way back through the town to the town green, where a host of activities were planned, including face painting, balloon modelling, family activities, and entertainment for all ages.

The event was supported by an army of volunteers, including Hereford 4x4 Response, which was on hand to man the road closure barriers and help drivers find their way around them.
