In pictures: check out the best of Glastonbury 2024

So that’s it: another year down on Worthy Farm is over, and we’re still getting our heads around the scale of what we experienced at Glastonbury 2024. There was a pop masterclass from Dua Lipa, Coldplay’s record-breaking headline set and SZA valiantly battling through a small crowd to deliver an arena-sized production.

But this, of course, is the mere tip of the Glastonbury iceberg. Across three days of music, some of the world’s greatest acts descended on Worthy Farm – and we were there to capture it all.

Here is our day-by-day accounts of what went down in Somerset this weekend.

FRIDAY

Confidence Man delivering a set of the weekend! Bombay Bicycle Club bringing out Damon Albarn! Dua Lipa delivering a pop masterclass! It’s quite mad to think that this amount of greatness happened on day one of Glastonbury, and yet that’s exactly what did happen. There was some serious clashes too – notably IDLES going head to head with Fontaines D.C. As these snaps show, fans were onto a winner no matter which act they eventually plumped for.

SATURDAY

Only at Glastonbury could you witness an A-Lister actor play country covers an hour after the buzziest indie band of the moment graduate to their biggest stage yet. Alongside Russell Crowe and The Last Dinner Party, Saturday was defined by a mammoth and firework-laden headline set from Coldplay, a Legends’ Slot in all but name from Cyndi Lauper and the long overdue coronation of Little Simz as one of our most treasured British stars. Saturday at Worthy Farm was one for the books.

SUNDAY

The final day of Glastonbury saw music in all its extremes. While Avril Lavigne was shutting down the entire Other Stage field with one of the biggest crowds that stage has ever seen, the Pyramid was being treated to masterclasses by Burna Boy, Janelle Monae and headliner SZA. Elsewhere out and about, Romy put in an ecstatic set that proved summer 2024 is her’s for the taking, mixing trance classics and beefed up Ariana Grande remixes into songs from her superb debut album Mid Air. It sent us off from the farm with one final glorious moment.
