PICTURES: Red carpet out for glamorous prom arrivals

The sun shone down on Portland students who attended an evening to remember by the waterside.

The students from Atlantic Academy made their way up the red carpet for their year 11 prom at Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy.

Unusual vehicles were deployed for the arrivals including lorries and a specially decorated car - with a student even arriving in style casually lounging on the roof!

It was a memorable evening with the venue offering wide ranging views of Portland Harbour.

It was also a good chance to say farewell to classmates and to look back on memories of school years.
