Pixar Place Hotel to Open at Disneyland in January
Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel in Anaheim, Calif., is currently being transformed into the Pixar Place Hotel. The cartoon-themed Pixar Place Hotel will open at Disneyland on Jan. 30, and will be the first fully Pixar-themed accommodations in the United States.
Disneyland is also opening a Great Maple restaurant at the hotel, which will serve upscale comfort food for breakfast, dinner and lunch, such as buttermilk fried chicken, maple bacon doughnuts and soda pop-braised baby back ribs. Additionally, new coffee shop Sketch Pad Cafe and rooftop pool bar Small Bytes will open in the following weeks.

The hotel’s new innovations include reimagined guest rooms with decor inspired by movies such as “The Incredibles” and “Toy Story.” The rooms also have lighting reminiscent of the Pixar lamp and pillows inspired by the Pixar ball. Pixar Place Hotel will include a sculpture of Pixar’s signature lamp and bar, as well as a character mobile in the lobby.
As the Paradise Pier Hotel undergoes its transformation, guests are able to try out some of the new Pixar-themed parts of the hotel that have already been installed. For instance, guests can currently find fire pits on the rooftop inspired by some of Pixar’s more hotheaded characters, such as Jack-Jack from “The Incredibles” and Anger from “Inside Out.” Other new additions include the “Finding Nemo”-themed water play area, along with a family play court, expanded fitness center and gift shop location in the lobby.
Disneyland officials will share more details regarding the hotel and its amenities at a later date.
