A Place in the Sun presenter walks off minutes into show after buyer's unexpected reaction

A brief house search almost came to an early finish on A Place in the Sun as presenter Ben Hillman walked off and shouted his goodbyes just minutes into Tuesday's episode of the Channel 4 show.

The presenter was on hand to assist Liv from Wiltshire in finding her dream holiday home as she searched for a property on the west coast of Cyprus with a budget of £87,000 and the help from her good pal Daisy.

The 20-year-old said she also had to consider her boyfriend when making her final purchase as she said she would ideally like a two-bedroom modern apartment that was close to the sea and had a communal pool.

There was some leeway in the budget for a few thousand pounds, taking Liv's overall budget to £90,000, the Express reports.

The first home that Ben introduced was a two-bedroom apartment in Argaka for £83,000 that boasts a balcony with a great view, a decent sized living area as well as bright and modern décor.

Walking into the living room, Liv exclaimed: "It is completely what I'm looking for."

Ben jokingly pretended to walk away as he said: "See you later!" before turning back around to the girls and saying: "What a great start."

Later as the girls stood on the balcony, they said the place was "beautiful" as Daisy added: "I think you've won with this one."

Ben asked: "Have I found you your perfect property?" to which the buyer's friend replied: "You've found me my perfect holiday home!"

Pleased with his efforts, property expert Ben joked that his job here was done as he told the camera: "While I'm not one to count my chickens, I think I've cracked this one."

The Channel 4 presenter went on to present Liv and Daisy with four more properties that he felt would satisfy their needs.

The girls seemed impressed with most of them, but none of them seemed to live up to the same standards as the first property they had been shown.

Despite this, it was the final apartment that won over their hearts in the end.

With a spacious living space and on the market for just under £94,000, Liv wanted to make an offer of £80,000 due as the kitchen needed some work and the views were not the best.

Her offer was turned down with the vendor saying they didn't want to drop below £85,000.

Liv said her maximum and final offer was £82,000 and it was accepted.
