A Place in the Sun star shares overwhelming update after quitting UK for new life in Spain

A Place In The Sun's Jasmine Harman has given fans a glimpse into her family's new life in Spain, following their move from the UK last year.

The 48-year-old presenter, along with her husband Jon Boast and their two children, Joy, nine, and Albion, seven, have been living in Estepona, Spain for the past eight months. They've also brought along their dog Astro and a newly rescued cat named Hazel, reports the Mirror.

In an update to her fans, Jasmine admitted that the transition was still "a bit overwhelming" for the family, but they were slowly settling in. She shared: "And it's not me now who has to do the commute, it's the husband."

When questioned about her puppy's health after recent surgery due to swallowing a ball, she joyfully reported that he has now "fully recovered". Speaking to Best Magazine, she added: "He's had a few mishaps in Spain as well, but he's loving life, he has walks in the mountains, he has a dip in the sea."

"We've also taken on a little rescue kitten and now they are proper little pals. I'm getting a proper menagerie together! "

Jasmine decided to leave the UK for a "much better balance" between work and personal life, having frequently commuted to Spain from England. She announced her decision to her Instagram followers last year, describing the move as "intense", yet thrilling.

She posted: "Life has many ups and downs. Sometimes the hardest things to do, bring the greatest rewards.

"Moving country has been stressful and intense and at times, overwhelming. But now we're here and we plan to make the most of it!".

The star has been keeping her fans in the loop about her new, sun-kissed life overseas, after years of assisting others to find their dream homes on television.

Using an Instagram Reel shared on her page in April, Jasmine demonstrated the touching evolution of the relationship between her dog and a recently-rescued kitten. She commented: "When we rescued a kitten in December, we had no idea how little Hazel would fit in with our dog.

"But, with a lot of hard work and patience, Astro has won her over with his calm and kind nature! ".

Last month, celebrating 20 years with her partner, Jasmine popped up a rare snapshot of the pair sharing some down time together. The caption revealed: "Happy 20 years @jboasty_dop goodbye Mr. Mop. #aintnothingliketherealthing #anniversary."

The post led to a shedload of blessings from her large following of 178,000, which she gratefully acknowledged.

Jasmine and her husband Jon first met on the set of the Channel 4 show, where he was working as a cameraman for seven years. This sparked a romantic relationship that resulted in a 2009 wedding and later, the arrival of their two children.
