A Place in the Sun presenter Laura Hamilton was left in a tricky situation when a property hunt didn't quite go to plan on Tuesday's show (June 11). During the episode, Laura was assisting Bob and Vida in their quest to find the perfect retirement abode along the Peloponnese Coast.

The couple had their hearts set on a beachside property complete with a pool, with a generous budget of £410,000 at their disposal. However, tensions rose when the first property viewing revealed an ultra-modern house priced over budget at £436,271, situated uncomfortably close to a busy road, which Vida instantly branded as "awful".

Despite Laura's efforts to highlight the lack of renovation needed and the home's impressive panoramic views, she playfully insisted it wasn't time to admire the scenery just yet, telling the couple "you're not allowed" to look there at that moment. But the property failed to win over the couple, who quickly decided to abandon the viewing, put off by the mezzanine layout and the undesirable location.

Bob made it clear that continuing would be futile, stating: "It would be a waste of time because we don't like the location." Laura, determined to meet the couple's needs, expressed her disappointment but acknowledged that the right location was paramount: "That's that, which seems a great shame but if it's not in the right location then there's nothing I can do about that.", reports the Liverpool Echo.

The property hunt was a challenge, with Bob and Vida finding little to their liking until the last search. The fifth property came with a price tag of just above £325,000, prompting the couple to put in an offer of £295,000.

Their joy knew no bounds when their revised offer of £302,500 was accepted, securing them their new abode.
