Plain clothed officers arrest wanted man after reports of suspicious behaviour

A WANTED man has been arrested after he was spotted acting suspiciously in Stockton Heath.

Officers from Warrington south and Warrington central were out in plain clothes on Sunday on the look out for a man who was wanted in relation to a number of shoplifting offences across the town.

Stockton Heath’s local PCSO was out on foot in The Forge when he received a report that a male, who matched the description of the wanted person, was asking suspiciously near to Marks and Spencer.

Plain clothed officers made their way to the area and intercepted the male in Latchford a short time later.

He was then arrested.
