Plymouth Argyle working to improve fans' Home Park matchday experience

Plymouth Argyle are expanding the facilities available in their two fan zones outside Home Park for matchdays in the forthcoming season.

Two big screens which have been used by the side of the pitch at Home Park over recent weeks to show England's games in Euro 2024 will be part of the added offering, as well as extra concessions for food and drink.

The fan zone immediately outside the Mayflower Grandstand opened for the start of last season, while the other one in the area which is opposite the stadium and is known as the 'Mayflower Quarter' was operational from January onwards.

Argyle's head of venue Christian Kent told Plymouth Live: "We have spent time over the summer working on how we can make them more supporter friendly and maximise use of space.

"There are going to be two big screens permanently installed - one will go in the Mayflower Grandstand fan zone and the other in the bigger fan zone, what we call the Mayflower Quarter.

"We have also added some additional concessions, there is a bigger bar, and the Argyle Community Trust will be selling their Project 35 pizzas from the Mayflower Quarter, which will be really good. They will also be providing some extra family activities.

"All in all, I think it's going to be a big improvement. It was really well utilised at the end of last season and we are looking forward to seeing it in operation again."

Another change to improve the fans' matchday experience has seen a kitchen installed at the nearby Harpers Football Centre, which Argyle owns, so they will be able to provide a food menu there before games.
