CHRIS CUDDIHEE - LABOUR
Chris Cuddihee is the Labour Party candidate for Sutton and Mount Gould ward. He lives here in Plymouth with his family and works as a barrister. Chris is Plymouth Labour’s candidate following Councillor Eddie Rennie’s retirement after nearly 30 years working for the residents in Sutton and Mount Gould ward.
Chris said: “I pay tribute to Eddie for his nearly 30 years of incredible service to our Community. We’re fortunate to have a strong Labour-run Council which works so hard to get Plymouth our fair share from this tired Conservative Government. We all know there is always more to do, and I want to help my Labour colleagues continue to deliver for this city and for Sutton and Mount Gould."
SITA DHANIPERSAD - TUSC
I’m an Ex Inclusion Teacher with 14 years of service in Primary & Secondary Schools and Multi-agency teams. I hold Masters Degrees in Education and Psychological Research which will underline my decision making.
My family moved to Plymouth when I was 4 and I returned here to raise my family. It seems a common joke to hate the city. Yet we are blessed with the most beautiful green and blue spaces, with good people; I love it. Councillors exist to serve the community. Not a party, or its members, or council plans, but the people of Plymouth.
I aim to:
• Encourage evidence-based decision making, based on good quality research or case studies of effective practice.
• Fight for greater consultation and coordination; not just with businesses, police, and local services, but with Plymothians themselves.
• Work towards greater inclusivity in our communities.
• Argue for the support of local community projects and their inclusion in council planning & support communities to form projects that benefit everyone.
• Increase funding to much needed services in health, mental health, education, and environmental protection.
• Campaign for greater funding to clean up and repair our whole city, not just the City Centre
MICHAEL KEWISH - GREEN PARTY
I have been living in Plymouth for 30 years. After serving in the Royal Navy for twelve years, I embarked on a career in social housing and over time gained a wide experience of the complex needs of residents. I am passionate about protecting green open spaces and have frequently challenged the local authority on such issues.
EDMUND SHILLABEER - CONSERVATIVES
On May 2nd put your faith in me your Conservative Party candidate. I was set on my path to Veterinarian status by the excellent Salisbury Road School. Our Tory Government has poured millions into Plymouth recently-£8m to tackle homelessness, £0.5million for sports facilities, extra tax relief for the Arts.
Personally, I’m a full time vet but in my spare time have raised many thousands for local charities, including Rotary and Ukrainian focused ones. I completed the Men’s day out 2024.
Once a Janner always a Janner! Don’t let Labour mismanage your taxes, vote Shillabeer.
