Police appeal after woman attacked in broad daylight in Paisley

A woman has been assaulted by a man in broad daylight, sparking an appeal from Renfrewshire police.

The 34-year-old suffered minor injuries in the attack which was carried out brazenly at 3.30pm on Tuesday, July 2 in Paisley.

The predominantly-industrial Murray Street was the scene of the incident and now police are asking anybody in the area at that time or with knowledge about what happened to get in touch with them.

A spokesperson from the Renfrewshire and Inverclyde Police Division said: “Officers in Paisley are appealing for information following an incident of assault which occurred around 3.30pm on 02/07/2024 on Murray Street, Paisley.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident 3701 of 09/07/2024.

Alternatively, information can be passed to Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555 111.”
