Police arrest 27-year-old man after 'sexual assault' near Pittodrie Stadium

Police have confirmed that a man has been arrested following an alleged sexual assault in Aberdeen near Pittodrie Stadium.

Officers recived a report of an incident at around 10pm on Sunday, May 12, at Broad Hill.

The landmark, which is popular with beachgoers and walkers, was closed off to the public while investigations were carried out.

Police Scotland said earlier on Monday that enquiries were at an early stage but confirmed this evening that a 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10pm on Sunday, 12 May, 2024, we received a report of a sexual assault which happened at Broadhill in Aberdeen.

“A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection and enquiries are ongoing.”
