Police make arrest after reports of man kicking car wing mirrors in Derry city centre

Police have made an arrest following reports that a number of vehicles were damaged overnight.

Officers received a report just after 11pm last night, Thursday 4th July, that a male was kicking wing mirrors of vehicles on Magazine Street in Derry city centre.

The PSNI attended the area and arrested a 35-year-old man on suspicion of criminal damage, and he remains in custody at this time. A further report was made this morning, Friday 5th July, of damage caused to a vehicle.

At this time, it's believed at least five vehicles have sustained some type of damage. Police are encouraging anyone who believes their vehicle was damaged, but has not reported it, to do so by calling 101, quoting reference number 1724 of 04/07/24.
