Police called to disturbance outside Newcastle academy school
Police were called after a disturbance erupted outside a city academy school.
There was a heavy police presence at Jesmond Park Academy, in Jesmond, Newcastle, after the incident was reported on Thursday. ChronicleLive understands an assembly for school leavers was taking place at the time.
Northumbria Police say no one was arrested and no offences were found to have been committed.

A Northumbria Police spokesman said: "Shortly after 12.10pm today we received a report of a disturbance on Newton Place in Newcastle. Officers attended and no offences were found to have been committed."
City councillor Greg Stone said he had heard about the incident. He said: "I have had a someone message me saying there was five or six police cars outside."
