Police want to speak to this man after two shoplifting incidents in Cheshire - one of which involved hundreds of pounds worth of alcohol being stolen from a Tesco store. Officers have released a CCTV image as part of their investigation.

The first incident is reported to have occurred at around 1.55pm on Monday, May 13 at the Tesco on Exchange Street, Macclesfield. Police say two unknown men left the store without paying for around £300 worth of alcohol products.

Later that day, the same two men entered the Sainsbury's store on Middlewich Road, Nantwich, and once again departed without paying for a number of items. PCSO Melisa Mellor said: "As part of our enquiries, we are appealing for any witnesses to these incidents to get in touch with us to help progress our investigation.

"The same goes for anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV image as we believe he may hold vital information. We would also like to appeal directly to the man pictured to get in touch with us."
