Police Scotland is appealing for information following the disappearance of a man who boarded a train to Edinburgh and checked into a hotel in the capital last month.

Anthony 'Tony' McCallum is believed to have left his home in Renfrewshire on April 26 before making his way to Edinburgh and checking into a hotel and leaving the following day, April 27.

Anthony was reported missing on Friday, May 3, and officers say the last sighting of the 69-year-old was at Glasgow Central Station on April 26.

Tony is described as a white male, approx. 6ft 1 in, dark brown hair greying at the sides. Tony is believed to be in possession of a green rucksack.

Inspector Allan O’Hare said: “We have reason to believe Tony has boarded a train and made his way to the Edinburgh area where he has checked into a city centre hotel before leaving on the 27 April.
