Police cordon off street after gang of kids 'fight with weapons'

A street was cordoned off by police after a gang of children were seen fighting with weapons.

Merseyside Police were called to Lowell Street in Walton at around 6.40pm on Tuesday, May 7. It came after officers received a report that a group of youths were seen carrying weapons and fighting in the street.

One witness told the ECHO the incident involved a crossbow. However, this is yet to be confirmed. Police said no injuries were reported during the incident.

Officers were seen speaking to residents on Lowell Street and the nearby Rippon Street. A cordon remained in place while police carried out enquiries to establish the circumstances of what happened.
