Police: Crockett man arrested after surveillance video showed him crashing company vehicle
CROCKETT, Texas (KETK) – The Crockett Police Department arrested one man on Tuesday after surveillance footage allegedly showed him taking and crashing a vehicle.

According to police, on May 11 at approximately 7 a.m., Crockett PD officers responded to a business in the 100 block of East Goliad Avenue for a report of vandalism and unauthorized use of a vehicle. Authorities said that the business owner told them he came into work that morning to find damage to the building and that one of the company vehicles had been used without permission.
While observing surveillance footage, officials reported recognizing the suspect, Jordan Strange, 19 of Crockett, walking up to the property at approximately 2:50 a.m. Crockett PD reported that the footage showed Strange taking the company’s vehicle, returning 10 minutes later and crashing it into the building.
According to the statement, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Strange for unauthorized use of a vehicle and on Tuesday they found him walking on East Bowie Avenue. Strange was taken into custody and booked into the Houston County Jail.
Crockett PD said that while at the jail, Strange was found to have suspected hydrocodone pills concealed on his person, and was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a prohibited substance or item in a correctional facility.
