Update as police helicopter launched after Stockwood incident

Police have shared an update after an incident in South Bristol yesterday (June 29) that saw the police helicopter deployed. Officers arrested two men after a man was believed to had been punched in Stockwood.

The incident happened around 1.30pm and the police helicopter was deployed along with officers on the ground to find the offenders. In a statement, Avon and Somerset Police said this afternoon that the men had been released.

The full statement reads: "Two men one in his 50s and one in his 60s, both arrested in connection with an assault in Dutton Road, Stockwood, on Saturday 29 June have been released on conditional police bail pending further enquiries into the incident.

"The injured man, in his 50s, did not need medical attention. Anyone with information which could help the investigation is asked to call 101 and give the reference 5224168703.
