Police hunt Ferne McCann's boyfriend following acid attack in London club
It has been reported that police are searching for Ferne McCann’s boyfriend Arthur Collins following an acid attack at a nightclub in London.
The attack took place at Mangle nightclub in the East End, where 20 victims were doused with a corrosive substance on Sunday.
Ferne, 26, has urged Arthur to “co-operate fully” with police and implored her boyfriend to go to a station to discuss the incident with officers.
A representative for Ferne said: “Ferne is aware that the police wish to speak to Arthur Collins and the nature of the accusations against him.
“Obviously these are highly shocking and Ferne has co-operated with the police in their inquiries. She was not with Arthur on Sunday night; was not at Mangle; and has no direct knowledge of the events that unfolded.”
The rep continued: “As much as anybody she wants to know the truth and urges Arthur to co-operate fully with the police and attend a police station immediately.”
Two sisters were among the clubbers who suffered chemical burns and today urged the perpetrators to hand themselves in, saying: “It’s a miracle noone was killed”.
Isabella Fraser, 22, and her sister Prue, 20, arrived at the club at 11.30pm and saw the attackers.
Prue told the Evening Standard: “I saw two men walk in and you could tell they were looking for trouble. The attack seemed very targeted.
“I ended up in the middle of this fight and I was thrown over the barrier near the bar with all my stuff. Getting up I could feel my arm was burning. It was like boiling water had been poured over me but like I was cut as well. I have never experienced anything like it, it was excruciating.”
“We saw six other girls who had it in their eyes, faces and chest areas they were screaming and crying.
“Everyone was reacting really slowly, people had no idea what was going on. I couldn’t find my sister and I was panicking. We just needed to get out of there.”
Isobella added: “I was freaking out. I couldn’t breathe, I was coughing. I just got this thing on my arm and I realised it was some sort of acid. I have third-degree burns on my arms and on my back, and my shirt that I was wearing actually stuck to my skin.”
Metropolitan Police are reviewing CCTV of the incident and released a statement from which read: “Arthur Collins, 25, of Hertfordshire is wanted for questioning by police. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact with investigators. He should not be approached by members of the public. If seen the public are advised to call 999 immediately.”
Ferne met Arthur on Instagram last summer and admitted she and her partner have already discussed the possibility of getting married.
The ‘This Morning’ presenter said: “We’ve spoken about our wedding. We want to get married on a beach. I want it to be a party and a celebration.
“I want these long extensions, mermaid-style hair covering my breasts, with flowers in my hair and no shoes. He can wear shorts and a shirt undone, then we want an amazing DJ with bongos and a saxophonist.”
