Police hunt after man stabbed in Beeston street attack

A man was stabbed during a street attack in Beeston. The man was assaulted in High Road just after 3am on Thursday (July 11) and was found at an address nearby with stab wounds.

A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Police said: "The victim was located by paramedics at a nearby address with two stab wounds that are neither life-altering or life-threatening. He was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre for treatment.

“A cordon was in place whilst officers investigated the scene but has since been removed. We are pursuing a number of lines of inquiry to trace those involved and are appealing for the public’s help."

Workers in the town centre turned up to find a cordon in place from 7am and said it had lifted by noon. "The area was cordoned off all morning," one witness said.

Anyone with any information that may help the police investigation is asked to call the force on 101, quoting incident 48 of July 11. The independent charity Crimestoppers can also be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
