Police hunt thug who attacked man in Tottenham leaving him in hospital

Police were scrambled to a street in north London after a man was attacked and left with head injuries.

The victim was found slumped in Tottenham High Road at just after 6am on Sunday.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital.

His condition is described as non life-threatening.

Detective are trawling through CCTV from around the crime scene in the hunt for the attacker. No arrests have been made.

A Met statement said: “Police were called at 0605hrs on Sunday, 19 May, to an injured man in Tottenham High Road at the junction with Whitehall Street, N17.

“Officers attended along with ambulance colleagues and found a man suffering head injuries. He has been taken to hospital. His condition has been assessed as not life-threatening.

“Officers believe the man had been assaulted. There has been no arrest and enquiries continue.”
