Police hunt for white van after man injured in 'suspicious incident'

Police in Skipton are appealing for witnesses and information following a "suspicious incident" involving a white van.

It is reported that a man, aged in his early 20s, suffered minor arm and back injuries after being driven into by a white Ford Transit Connect van that had mounted the pavement.

The incident happened on Keighley Road, at the end of Bold Venture Street, between 7.25pm and 7.40pm on Tuesday, May 21. The van, which is believed to be a 17-reg, was travelling in the direction of Cross Hills from Skipton town centre.

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for members of the public who witnessed the incident, or anybody who has dashcam footage of the van to get in touch.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should email william.larmour@northyorkshire.police.uk. You can also call North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option two, and ask for William Larmour.
