Police investigate Geordie Shore fights

Geordie Shore

(BANG) -

Police are investigating a number of the fights featured in 'Geordie Shore'.

After reality TV housemates Vicky Pattison, James Tindale and Greg Lake were involved in a number of brawls with members of the public in the pubs and clubs of Newcastle, Northumbria Police are looking to investigate allegations of assault and public disorder.

An insider said: "Officers are watching the show for incidents that could be seen as disorder or assault."

Chiefs are currently studying footage from the first few episodes of the MTV show, which saw James and Greg get into a huge fight in a nightclub after a fellow partygoer made a rude gesture behind muscle man James' back.

Geordie Shore's second episode then saw lairy loudmouth Vicky give a girl an almighty shove after she accidentally bashed into her in another club.

A spokeswoman from Northumbria Police told The Sun newspaper: "We can confirm police are making initial enquiries into incidents that have been taking place in Newcastle city centre."

The controversial reality series has already sparked fury among shocked Geordies, who have branded the show "an embarrassment".

One Facebook group with over 20,000 members declared: " After this we can no longer be proud to have a Geordie accent after these t***s embarrass us all on national television."
