POLICE are investigating noise issues in an area of Warrington after residents claimed it is ‘impossible to sleep’.

Those living in Whittle Hall say the noise sounds like motorbikes racing and that the problems have been especially severe over the last few weeks.

Cheshire Police has confirmed it was contacted by a resident on June 26 who reported issues relating to motorbikes.

A spokesperson for the force said that the caller reported that a number of bikes appeared to have been racing in the area for around four days between 9pm and 11pm.

Later that day on June 26, police were called again to these reports.

Officers were deployed to the scene but there was no trace of the bikes on their arrival.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “Enquiries in relation to these reports are ongoing, and anyone with any information, CCTV, or dashcam footage, is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 or visit https://www.cheshire.police.uk/tell-us.”

The noise has been heard around Lingley Green, Park Road, Lane Ends, Barbondale Close and various other areas.

Residents have said they ‘miss sleep’ due to the issue and some have said that it is ‘impossible to sleep’.
