Police investigating 'unexplained' death of woman

Police are investigating the 'unexplained' death of a woman at a home in East Kilbride.

Officers were called to the property on Meadow Close shortly after 4am on Saturday, May 4.

A 38-year-old woman was pronounced dead inside the house.

The force is treating the death as unexplained and an investigation has been launched.

A police van was pictured outside the property days later on Thursday evening.

A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.

A spokesperson said: “Around 4.05am on Saturday, May 4, 2024, we were called to a property in Meadow Close, East Kilbride, where a 38-year-old woman was pronounced dead.

“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.

“A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”
