Police investigation underway after shots fired in Leeds

A police investigation is underway after shots were fired in Leeds yesterday.

Shortly after 3pm on Tuesday (June 18) West Yorkshire Police were called to Temple View Grove following reports that shots had been fired .

Officers rushed to the scene, where it was confirmed that no one had been injured. A police cordon remains in place, whilst enquiries are underway to establish the circumstances of what took place.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: “Shortly after 3pm today, police were called to a report of a firearms discharge in the area of Temple View Grove, Leeds.

“Officers were deployed to the incident, where it was confirmed that no one had been injured. A police cordon has been put in place, whilst enquiries are underway to establish the circumstances of what took place.

“Anyone with information that may assist is asked to contact Leeds District Police online at or by calling 101 quoting reference 1140 of 18 June.”
