Police issue warning after 126 sheep stolen from Worksop field

A Nottinghamshire farmer has lost a significant amount of money after 126 of his sheep were stolen. The theft is reported to have taken place between Wednesday, June 26, and Sunday, June 30, when access was gained to land in Owday Lane in Worksop.

Out of the 126 animals, 46 are believed to be ewes, with lambs left without a mother as a result. Eighty lambs were also stolen, some without their mothers.

South Yorkshire Police is investigating the incident and said that all sheep have a blue mark on their shoulders. The force is now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
