Police have launched an appeal to trace a man who has been reported missing from a Scots city.

David Garven (also known as Edward James) vanished from Inverness on Monday.

The 52-year-old is described as white, 5'7, has grey/white hair and was last seen wearing a black/grey North Face waterproof jacket and black jogging bottoms.

Officers believe David may have travelled to Glasgow since being reported missing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We are appealing for help tracing David Garven (also known as Edward James) who has been missing from Inverness since Monday 29th April 2024.

"David is described as 52 years old, white, 5’7, grey/white hair and he was wearing black/grey North Face waterproof jacket and black jogging bottoms when last seen.

"We believe David may have travelled to Glasgow since being reported missing.

"If you have any information, we would urge you to contact us on 101 quoting incident 0034 30/04/24."
