Police launch probes into two burglary incidents within hours of each other

POLICE have confirmed they are investigating two burglary incidents reported within hours of each other.

Detectives from Cheshire Police are looking into the incidents on Tuesday evening in Chapelford and Howley.

One involved a residential address, while the other was at a closed commercial property.

Enquiries into both incidents are ongoing, with anyone with any information asked to contact the police.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “At 6.45pm on Tuesday, July 2, police were called to reports of an attempted burglary at an address in Atlanta Gardens, Great Sankey.

“The caller reported their door handle had been broken. Enquiries are ongoing.

“Then at 9.04pm, police were called to reports of a burglary at a vacant business premises on Farrell Street, Warrington.

“It was reported that youths had gained entry to the building. Enquiries are ongoing.”
