Police launch urgent appeal for whereabouts of missing teenage girls

Two teenage friends are missing in Swindon.

Two 15-year-old girls, Kiera and Lilly, are thought missing after last being seen on Friday morning.

Police have now issued an urgent appeal for information on their whereabouts

A spokesperson said: "We are urgently appealing for any information about two 15-year-old girls who have been reported missing in Swindon.

"Keira is thought to be with Lilly and their families are growing increasingly concerned for their welfare."

Lilly has long hair that is dyed ginger and may be wearing a grey hoodie, black jeans, a black tanktop. She wears glasses and has a nose ring. She is about 5ft 4in tall and has a slim build.

Keira has long black hair and may be wearing light grey tracksuit bottoms, black trainers, a dark grey hoodie and a cream coloured top. She has braces on her teeth.

Posts from both families have also been made on social media for help.

In one of them, the mother of one of the girls said she was out looking for them and they were last seen in the Gladstone Street area of Swindon town centre.

She added that while there has been some communication, nobody knows where they are.

"The girls need to come home and all of us are hoping they are safe," she said.
