Police pull over ‘UFO’ for minor traffic offence

Police in Missouri had a close encounter of the third kind when they pulled over a “UFO” for a minor traffic offence.

Crawford County Sheriff’s Office published pictures taken by officers who had stopped an “out of this world” vehicle resembling an alien spacecraft.

In a post on its Facebook page, the office made light of the interaction, saying: “Well, you never know what will be travelling through Crawford Country but this one was a little out of this world.”

They said that the “friendly humanoids” in the space-like vehicle had “come in peace,” and were travelling to a festival in Roswell, New Mexico – a city long linked to alien-inspired conspiracy theories.

There was a brief conversation “about his out of space – correction – out of state registration, but he assured us that he would take care of that issue when he returned to Krypton”, the Sheriff’s office said.

“He was also warned about our strict enforcement of warp speed on the interstate and to keep his phasers on stun only while traveling,” it added.
