Police release CCTV image of woman with distinctive hat after champagne theft

Police have released a CCTV image of a woman in a distinctive hat they would like to trace after the alleged theft of bottles of champagne in Northallerton.

The woman in a long puffer jacket, wearing a black hat with big ears, was captured in a Sainsbury's store in Northallerton.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "We’ve issued this CCTV image of a woman we need to speak to following the theft of several bottles of Champagne from Sainsbury's on the High Street, Northallerton, at around 1.30pm on January 25.
