Police renew appeal to track attempted murder suspect on the run since 2021

Police have issued a renewed appeal to trace a wanted man - three years on from an attempted murder in Digbeth. Three men were attacked in a major incident back in May 2021.

Since then, Ajay Malhi - also known as Ajay Soni - has been at large. The 32-year-old is wanted in connection with an attempted murder, police said.

Today, July 10, West Midlands Police has again shared his image in a bid to find him after more than three years on the run. Sharing a fresh appeal, they urged anyone who knows where he is to get in touch.

Anyone with information was also encouraged to contact the force. The appeal, shared via Birmingham Police, read: "WANTED | We're renewing our appeal to find Ajay Malhi, also known as Ajay Soni. The 32-year-old is wanted in connection with an attempted murder in Digbeth in May 2021 in which three men were attacked. Since then, he has remained at large.

"We are renewing our appeal and encouraging anyone who knows where he is to get in touch. If you know anything, call 101 or use Live Chat quoting crime number 20/413395/21."
