Giant cannabis factory with 1,300 plants rumbled in Stoke-on-Trent

Police have rumbled a giant cannabis factory in Stoke-on-Trent. A total of 1,300 plants were uncovered inside a building in Longton today (May 1).

Staffordshire Police have not disclosed at this stage where the grow was located. However, photos shared on social media reveal the sheer scale of the operation with a sophisticated set-up.

It is one of the biggest cannabis farms rumbled in the city in recent years.

Sgt PS Lloyd, of Stoke South Local Policing Team, said: “We will continue to act on community intelligence to make our communities safer."

The latest raid comes after cannabis factories have also been uncovered in:

  • Hall Street in Burslem in the early hours of Monday (April 29) where 120 plants were found;

  • the former Empire Bedroom and Dining Furnishers, on Tunstall High Street on April 26 where 248 plants were seized;

  • Hamil Road, Burslem, where 60 plants were found on April 26;

  • Birks Street, in Stoke, and Aynsley Street, on April 10 and

  • Etruria Road, Basford, on Bank Holiday Monday (April 1).

As reported by StokeonTrentLive more than 300 grows were found in the city across 2021 and 2022.
