Police rush to scene of two-vehicle smash at busy roundabout

Police rushed to the scene of a two-vehicle smash near Glasgow this afternoon.

The incident took place at Baljaffray roundabout in Bearsden where a white vehicle could be seen stranded on a traffic island between the lanes of the road.

It is believed part of Stockiemuir Road from its junction with Stockiemuir Avenue was closed for a period of time following the crash but the road has since reopened.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.10pm on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, police attended Baljaffray Road in Bearsden, following a report of a two-vehicle crash.

"Officers remain at the scene.”
