Police have revealed their 'shock' after stopping a motorist who was clocked speeding at 47mph in a 30mph zone. Central Motorway Police Group pulled over the driver of a blue Nissan Pixo in Stone as part of Operation Lightning.

The hatch-back was captured exceeding the speed limit by 17mph per hour. A speed enforcement operation was carried out by the motorway police group targeting drivers.

After pulling over the driver, officers discovered that the motorist also did not possess a valid licence or insurance. The car was subsequently seized and a sticker was placed on the back window indicating this.
