The BBC’s new director-general is planning to tackle its left-wing comedy output, it has been reported.
The Telegraph said new BBC chief Tim Davie wants a radical overhaul of the corporation’s comedy in the next few months.
Davie said the BBC must become a “universal public service”.
On Tuesday, right-wing comic Geoff Norcott defended the plan to give comedians who aren’t left wing a voice.
