Popular all-you-can-eat Chinese Bambudda with '£18k weekly turnover' goes up for sale

A popular Chinese restaurant has hit the property market - but still continues to be running as normal.

Bambudda, an all-you-can-eat Chinese in Darlington , is up for sale for £99,950 with Ernest Wilson & Co Limited. The eatery, on Gladstone Street, is described as “exceptionally busy” and ran with a team of “competent” staff.

The Pan-Asian restaurant, with a “modern twist”, achieves a “very impressive turnover whilst working on high gross profit margins in excess of 67%”, the estate agent states in a publically-available listing. The Rightmove listing also adds that the venue, with 120 covers, has a weekly turnover £18,000 to £19,000 and “showing net profits adjusted to £31,361”.

Rightmove advertised a “Chinese/Oriental fusion restaurant in Darlington for sale” - but does not include the name of the business. Bambudda has confirmed to Teesside Live that the business still continues to be ran as normal despite the sale.

“Exceptionally busy Chinese / Oriental fusion restaurant in Darlington, just on the fringe of the town centre and adjacent to large public car park,” the description adds. “The business is run in sensible hours by our client with a team of competent staff and achieves a very impressive turnover whilst working on high gross profit margins in excess of 67%.”

The premises are held on lease and are complete with a fitted bar, main dining area “which has been substantially furnished and well fitted offering seating for up to 80 diners”. The building also has a “spacious” commercial kitchen, “excellent” range of quality catering equipment and ancillary storage.

“First floor store room and second dining area used as an overspill area but also for private parties and functions which seats a further 40 diners comfortably and has its own fully fitted bar,” the description adds. “The second dining area offers access to the covered roof terrace which provides seating for diners to enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail.”
