Kilted Donut is a donut cafe specialising in handmade artisan treats in the American style - often with a Scottish twist. They first began seven years ago at Leith Market, before they opened up their bakeries, but until now, the company's only store was located in Grassmarket having recently closed both their Stockbridge and Leith branches.

On Instagram, the bakery said: "The time is finally here and we couldn't be more excited!

"We’ll be opening the doors to our Morningside store this Friday at 8.30am and serving up our fresh donuts and coffee all day long til 6.30pm or until we sell out!

"We would love to see all your smiling faces there and look forward to sharing this space with you all"

In recent social media posts, the team have also announced they are returning to Leith soon.
