Potential Tropical Cyclone to Bring Storm Surge to the Mid-Atlantic Coast

A potential tropical cyclone forming in the Atlantic Ocean could bring dangerous storm surge and tropical storm conditions to the Mid-Atlantic coast of the United Sates, the National Hurricane Center said on Thursday, September 21.

The National Weather Service issued a tropical storm watch and storm surge watch for some coastal areas in Virginia, warning residents of strong winds and the possibility of life-threatening inundation.
