Poundland's £2.50 summer buys have transformed my garden table

When the weather is warm, it usually means some alfresco dining is on the cards.

And, if you've got a nice space to sit while you enjoy those picky teas, it makes it all the more enjoyable.

With Poundland's new Pepco homeware ranges making waves, I decided to head along to the store to see what I could find to spruce up my own garden table.

We reported last week how shoppers are loving the budget ranges, which include everything from cushions and photo frames, to glasses, plates, candles and plants.

When TV presenter Anthea Turner took a shipping container full of the products to display in Manchester's St Ann's Square earlier this month, shoppers guessed the ranges were from either IKEA, M&S, Habitat, Selfridges or John Lewis.

I was shocked by just how many products are actually available in stores and, with prices starting from 50p, I can see why something like this would be so popular during the cost of living crisis.

And just because the stuff is cheap, doesn't mean that it's poor quality.

I've already had comments about how expensive the plates look, which I picked up from the Pepco Home Exotic Patio Collection, and they were just £2.50 each. They're microwave and dishwasher safe too.

The green ribbed glasses match perfectly and were a quid each - in a pack of four - and come in either blue or pink too. And I picked up a Sunset Mandarin scented candle from the same range for £3.

I absolutely love the table lamp I bought too. It's battery operated and glows from the top, with you able to tap the top of it to vary the brightness level.

I'm not surprised that shoppers thought this stuff was from the higher end retailers. It's transformed my garden table for little more than £20 so you can't ask better than that.
