Power Outage Hits Downtown Seattle

Most of downtown Seattle was without power on Wednesday, May 25, after a problem at an electrical substation. Seattle City Light reported a problem at the Massachusetts and Union substation and anticipated power to be back on around 12:40pm. Seattle police were on scene for traffic control.

The outage affected, among other things, Pike Place Market, the Seattle Great Wheel, and downtown skyscrapers, according to local reports.
