Gypsy-Rose Blanchard is looking forward to her journey as a mom.

On Tuesday, July 9, the Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup star, 32, announced that she is pregnant, expecting her first baby with boyfriend Ken Urker, 31. After years of being subjected to painful medical abuse and playing a role in the 2015 killing of her mom Dee Dee, Blanchard opens up about what it means for her to be a mother in a video titled "I'm Pregnant, My Journey So Far" posted on her YouTube channel.

After revealing that she's 11 weeks pregnant, Blanchard begins to cry. "All the things that I wanted in a mother, I want to give to this baby," she says, wiping her tears.

She adds, "I am a mother now, I am happy, and I just want to be a good mother for my child. I want to be everything my mother wasn't."

She continues to get emotional, sharing that both she and Urker "grew up in broken homes."

"I grew up without a father, pretty much, and he grew up in a family where, you know, his parents got divorced," she says. "I think we both agree that neither one of us wants our child to be in that kind of a situation."

She continues, "With that being said, it doesn't matter what we go through, him and I. Whatever we face, we'll face it together."

She adds, "We're a family now."

Earlier in the video, Blanchard addressed some concerns she's heard from her followers. "I know that there are going to be people who feel like I'm not ready to be a mother," she says, "and I don't know if anyone's really ready to be a mother."

Blanchard announced the exciting news at the very start of the video, saying, "I know the rumors have been flying around for quite some time now, and I'm happy to announce that I am 11 weeks pregnant."

"Ken and I are expecting our very first child come January of 2025," she shared, adding, "This was not planned at all, it was completely unexpected, but we're both very excited to take on this new journey of parenthood."
